We track user traffic patterns throughout our site. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. The NHL Alumni Association does break down overall usage statistics according to a user’s domain name, browser type, and Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension (MIME) type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user’s browser).

The NHL Alumni Association will maintain an electronic mail list of all registrants, participants, team or player sponsors and donors. We will use that list to notify you about matters regarding current or future tournaments. We may also share that electronic email list with our third party service providers as described in the “Sharing of Information” section below.

SECURITY

We take steps to protect the security of your personal information to try to minimize the risk of loss, misuse, alteration, destruction, or unauthorized access. We use sophisticated security technologies to secure the personal information you submit (e.g., your name, geographical and email addresses, and telephone number). Your submission of information is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) technology, which is a coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt data before you send it. To support this technology, users must have an SSL-capable browser. SSL is one of the safest encryption technologies available; however, we cannot guarantee that any electronic transfer of information is totally secure.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

In the event you provide payment information, the NHL Alumni Association will not receive, process, or store credit card, debit card or account information used. You will be directed through a third party payment processor that will receive, process and store your payment information. That third party payment processor will also use SSL technology to communicate with you; however, the payment processor may have its own terms of use and privacy policy, which you should review. The NHL Alumni Association is not responsible for any loss, misuse, alteration, destruction, or unauthorized access of credit card, debit card or account information you may submit to the payment processor.
